Blackwater Hostel is self catering accommodation along the West Highland Way. Located in Kinlochleven 7 miles from Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands.

With our varying types of accommodation we cater for a wide range of budgets – from camping and glamping. We can accommodate both small & large groups, families and couples. Ideally located for all you West Highland Way walkers. Blackwater is the first accommodation you arrive at when walking into the village from Glencoe. For those touring the Highlands, it’s a great base with Glencoe, Fort William, Ben Nevis & Oban only a short drive away.

Blackwater Hostel build external

10 private en-suite rooms of various sizes. Each room has central heating, double glazing, TV, comfortable bunk beds. Other facilities include drying rooms, communal kitchen & dining area plus free WIFI. Only 200m from village centre.

West Highland Lodge Hostel external

Overlooking the village of Kinlochleven, our lodge has recently been renovated with new heating system & double glazing. 8 private rooms. Comfortable bunk beds. Communal showers/toilets, kitchen, lounge & dining area & drying rooms. Free WIFI.

The Glamping Pods are ideally positioned with many overlooking the River Leven. A great alternative to camping. We have 12, all season pods sleeping from 2-4 people. Each pod offers luxuries such as electric lights & sockets, free wifi, TV, microwave, fridge and kettle, electric heater/fan, storage & midge screens.

Many of our guests tell us it’s, “The best equipped campsite along the West Highland Way”. Just 2oom from the village centre. Great base for walkers. Camping guests have the use of the following facilities: free WIFI, shower/toilet block, charging points, drying rooms & covered pot wash area.

Exploring Kinlochleven

Kinlochleven is situated on the West Coast of Scotland in the heart of Lochaber – the Outdoor Capital of the UK. Making it a great location for all you outdoor enthusiasts! With climbing, hillwalking, kayaking, canyoning, white water rafting, mountain biking – just a few of the many activities on the doorstep. If its a relaxing break away you’re after, the village is perfect. With the surrounding area boasting an abundance of beautiful walks and amazing scenery.

The hostels, together with the campsite make an ideal stopover while walking the West Highland Way. Just 22 miles from Bridge of Orchy and only 9 miles from King House. Many choose Kinlochleven as the last stop off before the finish point in Fort William.

Although a small village, Kinlochleven has many local amenities such as a Co-op supermarket, Post Office, fish and chip shop and also three pubs offering hearty bar meals.
